until I looked at these. I was just curious what his production was, and why anyone would think he was a key departure (we're in total agreement with regard to talent level). Starting every game over the last two years kind of stands out - that's a solid contribution in itself.

just kidding - Ithought he was a decent player. Obviously he was lacking in talent, but he was a solid defender against the run. He was easily our best tackler at CB...unfortunately that's not the primary function of a CB.
Would I call him a key loss? No, because I feel we will be replacing him withguys who are better trueCBs. But maybe Low as looking for at least 2 guys on each side of the ball so it was either him or Kyle Love.

....you could spot MW being completely out of position, covering nothing but 30 yards of empty field. He seemed entirely physically capable of the position (maybe slightly slow), but either mentally lacking or poorly coached. or both. that he seemed to get much better in the 2nd half of last season points towards coaching.
that said, he was better than the alternatives we had, at least last year. his production should be replacable this year with any improvement from Broomfieldor Langston.
