Lowes is our best option but at this point we just need to shut him down. Get him healed up and hope he's ready to go for next year
We have to get along without him but I would play him whenever he can play. We can't afford to not use any assets we've got.
The enemy is storming up the hill and we're almost out of ammo. Fix bayonets!

Good. He stinks.
Just to be clear tho, he’s the 2nd guy on our team who’s decided to sit out the year in the span of 3 days. Both were projected starters.
That’s pretty wild
The thought when he went out definitely went thru my mind that it could have been planned. Did the team rally together and decide to play for the guys who want to be here?

I'm afraid you're right. I really like Lowe leading the team but he is way too fragile at this point and the team needs to learn to play without him. Get him his needed surgery and rehab and bring him back next season. Does he still qualify for a medical redshirt at this point as I don't know if he played that many games after missing so much to start the season?

I think "decided to sit out the year" is a bit much. This isn't a Shaedon Sharpe situation. Both of the guys are dealing with significant injuries.

It's a blessing in disguise not having those two. I'm starting to think part of the team's struggle was centered around not having those two. Last night they seemed to really click.

Coming from a guy with a bad shoulder that I have dislocated numerous times playing basketball and various other activities. He’s not ‘deciding’ to sit the year out. He’s trying to play, but he needs to just shut it down, have surgery and come back next year.

Hate it for the kid and team.

Going forward I think Pope will need to be very careful when recruiting injured players.

Especially high dollar starters who he’s kind of trying to build the team and season around.

Just too much at stake now. There’s literally no time or patience to have a down year, rebuild, rehab, etc…

JQ was going to always be a bit of a gamble but it’s high risk, high reward for him. So. You take that shot.

Lowe had never been seriously injured before this I believe. It was just a freak injury at the BW Game. I still blame the person that brought Annabelle to Lexington.

If he’s wise he’d get the surgery now and be ready for next year, wherever he goes. I’m not convinced he’ll stay because I think the NIL budget is gonna be cut significantly next year so I imagine a lot of our current players aren’t going to want to stick around for a smaller paycheck.
