Actually a big upset..this was thought to be NT's best LAX team ever..and given their LAX history that's the equivalent of saying "this is Alabama's best team ever".

The last three. Since 2010, there have only been two years when they haven't both played each other for the title. I couldn't find stats from before 2010, but I know that they met in the finals many times before then.

Not only not ending up in the same sectional, but also not ending up on the same side of the the bracket. Obviously, this possibility was foreseen and dealt with accordingly. Kudos to whoever made that call.
