I guess I don't see the difference. If Frost turns around UCF, similar to what Herman did at UH, he will be a hot commodity too. Secondly, how many better opportunities are there than LSU? 5 or 6 maybe. I have never seen anything written where Herman has said he has NFL aspirations. Maybe he does, but as a career college coach he seems to thrive in that arena.
It's just my opinion, worth exactly what you paid for it!
Hey I don't know, it's just a gut feeling. I'm not the only one I've heard mention that Herman might want to avoid LSU though, and we'll see soon enough.
Frost doesn't have to turn LSU around, they are LSU. UCF is only keeping his headset warm until he leaves, which will be about as soon as he can if he has some success there. Herman probably isn't going to be at Houston very much longer, but between some of the openings out there...Oregon, Texas, USC, all are better winnable opportunities because they don't have to share as much of the recruiting territory and none of the others are in the SEC, where BTW, LSU wanted to run a national title winning coach out last year, way before they should have. All those others schools I mentioned would be better in that area in terms of fan patience. Out of Oregon, USC, and Texas, I believe at least two of them will be open, no way all 3 coaches are at all of those schools next year. So that factors into this as well, LSU isn't the only pretty girl at the dance.
