LSU's hitting coach recognizes the need to teach his players to hit more than just a fastball. It's weird that LSU can actually swing at and hit a curveball on occasion.

If a pitcher is throwing off-speed pitches for strikes against us, we just say "17 it" and tip our hat to them.

UVA leads with the breaking ball. All you have to do is attack the curveball instead of the fastball, and you are money. We still took the 'attack the fastball' approach because Reinstetle is a dumbass. Hence, we get 8 runs in 31 innings. LSU gets 9 runs in 8 innings. If you can't tell, I'm all for a new hitting coach.

catch up with his team in a super regional. I know you`ll find this a little hard to believe but playing a strong LSU team in your first game ever at the CWS is a little more intimidating than playing an overhyped Ole Miss team in Oxford to get there. Edited to add : good but overhyped

But it's starting to get old. They didn't it make yet again. We know. They know. Now if you want to get in a discussion of who'll make it (back) there first, that's a pissing match I can get behind.

but by the way they flock over here when they succeed at something or even more so we fail at something they bring a lot of stuff on themselves. Sure we`ve got some people who do the same thing but not nearly to the extent that they do. Just an observation.
