They couldnt do squat really. I mean just them couple weapons with the type D and O-lines LSU has had shows me. (hypothetically) If Miles were to be fired and Stoops were to be fired I do not think I would want Miles as Kentucky's head coach. Watching some NFL , seeing these 2 play and scratching my head. Plus they currently have i think the Dupree kid and watching some of that game yesterday off and on . He was wide open all over the place and would rarely even get a target.

I was wondering last night if Miles even makes it the rest of the year.

I agree there is no reason with the talent that LSU has for the offense to be weak.

And Jeremy Hill along with one of the best O-Lines in college football.

Seriously though say LSU somehow can gets Petrino that is a,sleeping giant about to be awaken in college football. I garuntee he will be able to use thise type weapons to full potential. Just saying this cause Clay Travis was saying he is hearing LSU will be throwing everything they got at Bobby P after SEASON. I could see it but I think they might want to wait until Lamar Jackson graduates cause I dont think Boddy will go until lamar gets drafted or graduates. We shall see.

Miles is a terrible offensive coach. Always fields a great defense, always a great recruiter, but can't put together a good offense to save his life and FLAT OUT refuses to make scheme changes.

In fact last year he fired his DC because the defense slipped slightly, and kept Cam Cameron despite the offense being the unit that struggled....

If he had fired Cameron and hired a new OC he would have gotten at least another year or two...

Good Lord they had alot of players and people say Petrino would go there. Imagine him with all them 5* he can gobble up. 100 MILE RADIUS from campus he can snag a top 10 class just about every year. And would give Saban everything he wanted in the west. I thinknit woukd be sweet if he went just yo have that PETRINO vs Saban going on. Back to talent LSU offensive wows would be fixxed year 1 and year 2 tbey would be clicking on all cylinders.

Miles came awfully close to getting the ax last year, really surprised he didn't rise to a higher level this.He had to know he was skating on thin ice.
At least the LSU did not give him an unreal contract like Barnhart gave Stoops, which has to go down as the wordt contract extension in history.

Les and Cam were teammates under Bo at Michigan and Les is loyal to a fault.
Les is respected and very well liked in the city of Baton Rouge.

And to think Cameron is paid roughly 1.5 million per year. For comparison sake, Gran is paid 650k.

I know....nuts. Cameron is awful. To be honest, most of thr coaches and ocs in the NFL are awful.

They recycle the same 15, 20 coaches year after year no matter how badly they perform. It's no wonder guys struggle like crazy making the transition to the NFL. All the best coaches are in college.

As much as I would never want Les Miles at UK due to the fact even if he were here due to talent mUK will most likely never be a powerhouse on defense but some years will have a shot with a high powered offense. I'd much rather have les miles than stoops everyday of the week and 5 times on Saturdays, he's at least a proven winner with an NC under his belt. Not saying I want him by any means though I hope we never look twice at him considering he's garbage on the offensive side and that will never work at UK. But over stoops? Yea that would be quite an upgrade.

Sarcasm? If not then it's gotta be one of the dumbest statements I've read in this board which is saying tons. So I guess that's why Petrino, Saban and others sucked so bad in the NFL. Makes sense.

Honestly, they're almost two different sports. Switching ranks isn't something most coaches can do.

Saban and Petrino didn't succeed because they are screaming hardcore disciplinarians, millionaires tend to not respond all that well to a guy who makes half of what they do screaming in their faces. (as a side note, Petrino did well as an OC in the NFL)

Also, Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll have had absolutely no success in the NFL right? Lol.

What coach in college coach at a top program can blow *** at his job and then immediately be hired to the exact same position at another school?

It doesn't generally happen without working your way back up.

It happens in the NFL constantly.

If Rex Ryan and Jeff Fisher can immediately get a HC job after the jobs they did at their respective teams then your argument about NFL coaches being somhow better than college coaches is laughable.

There have been PLENTY of outstanding players that have had their careers trashed by ****** sub par "good ole boys club" coaches in the NFL.

The best coaches, especially from an offensive standpoint are in college. And it's not even close.
