Kirby plus some highly regarded Mississippi kids already already on the team is not a good combination.

Wouldn't surprise me that Kirby wasn't welcome at Georgetown any longer.

be his fault. Georgetown shouldn't be that attractive to players in the South. Compared to lots of closer schools. If I was good enough to play for Georgetown I would pick any one of the other 50 schools also interested in me. Just my opinion but of all the decent Big East teams they would be the last school I would go to.

Georgetown basketball = Notre Dame football. They weren't good for a stretch while my generation was growing up and the kids picking colleges now don't know them over anyone else despite their history. If I'm a baller everyone wants I'm not going to Georgetown. Just like in football if I'm a kid from a neutral state deciding between Notre Dame and Florida or Auburn I'm going to Florida or Auburn.

Georgetown has been to the tourney 5 of the last 6 years. With a Sweet 16 and a Final 4 in there. Notre dame hasn't been in the top 5 since Kurt Cobain was alive.

i'm trying to figure out why young black basketball recruits (most of the good ones are black) would not wanna go to georgetown? good university. in an urban city with the nickname "chocolate city". good tradition. and as someone that lives in DC proper, so long as you stay out of SE DC across the river, it's a pretty safe city these days. <div>
</div><div>i'm not saying g'town should be the hands down destination and recruits should turn down any and all offers for g'town, i'm just confused why some of yall think g'town is such a bad choice and can't understand why recruits would be interested in g'town.</div>
