I'm on my way back to the hotel in Dallas from the game tonight, and first of all, this is a blast, our athletic dept needs to get us in one of these games in a few years. But, tonight I left the stadium feeling that MSU is better than both of these teams. LSU put up 40 points tonight, but they had so many lucky breaks, Oregon made too many mistakes. I don't see a Mullen coached team making those errors. LSU has a good defense, but, seriously the MSU offense is better than Oregon. Oregon was predictable, they ran so many slants and out routes tonight. Their plays worked in the first half and failed in the second, I think dan and company got enough film tonight to scheme an MSU win over LSU. What do y'all think???

LSU might be the fastest team we play this season. And Oregon was almost as fast as LSU. LSU's D is absolutely nasty. And did I mention fast? They're going to give us BIG problems.

I was hoping we'd be able to sneak up on them, but I can't see it after tonight. You also have to think they're likely to have Russell Shepard back in time for our game. That will help their offense out a lot. Jarrett Lee was solid, if unspectacular. He didn't make any mistakes to get them beat and made a couple of good throws to keep scoring drives alive. Their OL was also missing a starter. And last but not least, they play out of their freaking minds when they play us. It's going to take everything we have and then some to upset them, as I see it.

Jarret Lee was there, that's about all. You're right, he didn't make any mistakes that lost the game, but special teams and defense won the game for them. At least in my opinion.

Let's work on having less than 4 turnovers against LSU before we go talking about beating them.

Anything can happen in 2 weeks but no way did LSU look impressive, they got several lucky breaks as usual to pull ahead of Oregon to take the game, best chance we have to beat LSU in a long time. There defense was alright but was not outstanding, relf and ballard could have a field day against them. If LSU had not gotten the breaks they did they could have lost or been a lot closer then what is was. LSU is not a top 5 team.

are going to win a lot of games for LSU this season. I actually think Jarrett Lee may be a better fit for them at QB than Jefferson was. All he has to do this year is not make mistakes, and he didn't make any yesterday. Everybody remembers what he did as a freshman, but I think he's going to have a decent season for them.

You may be the only person in America to have this opinion after watching that game. Name five teams better than LSU.

Our speed may be on par with LSU, but our size isn't. They are going to bigger than us in most match ups.

1) You say lucky... I say creating and taking advantage of opportunities. A lot of those breaks were created because of their play and capitalizing on them is also what makes a good team as well. <div>
</div><div>2) Besides the possibility of Bama... who in the entire NCAA would you confidently say has a better defense than theirs?</div><div>
</div><div>3) ********... somewhat like the 2nd... what 5 teams are a dead given better than LSU? I'll wait...</div>

<p style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Calibri">IMO, I thought LSU looked very impressive last night. They dominated on defense, took advantage of errors by Oregon. Had sustained drives, could run and pass on Oregon. I am not sure what game you were watching, but maybe it's just a difference of opinions.

I hope Mullen and our team brings their A game in two weeks, and make it a good game with LSU.</font></p>
