Well I gotta admit they look like a complete team. At this point I believe I would have them favored to win the SEC. I was hoping we would have an undefeated TX for the RRR but oh well. Beating them will still be fun as usual

I am not buying into the lsu hype just yet. If you think texass is truly "back" then maybe lsu is legit but I don't see them dethroning bama just yet. They will probably be the only team in the sec west with a shot but I doubt lsu is up to the challenge.
I don't think texass is back and they had their chances vs lsu. That secondary gave up almost 500 yds passing. Not gonna beat many teams outside of the Big 12 doing that.

I didn’t see the whole game and only really watched the final quarter but for all the crowing SEC fans do about those great defenses it just proves that great offenses can even make those perceived Great Ds look average. Didn’t Texas have like over 500 yards of total offense themselves?

After watching this game it’s my hope that OU brings its “A” game to the Texas game.

I watched the entire game. Texas dropped a pass in the end zone in the 1st quarter. Two times in the first quarter, including the drop pass and inside the ten yard line they got zero points. The play calling was abysmal, Erlinger right and Erlinger left. No deception. No motion to get the linebackers out of the middle. Nothing. Stalemate. Texas should have had ten points, they got zero and lost by 7. Hermann had his head up his ***. Texas has no running backs, they are all injured, and the backup QB was used as a running back along with unknown person. LSU gave up over 500 yards to third/fourth best offense in the BIG 12. Texas secondary got eaten up. Receivers wide open, broken coverages and poor play. LSU not much better. Overall analysis, both teams played hard. Either team could have won. Can OU beat LSU or Texas. Yes, but our secondary needs to play lights out. Neither team ran effectively which speaks to both having a good front seven.

I listened to the OU game on e-radio and had the whorm game on tv. As long as we have a balanced effective run/pass game and keep SE on the sideline as much as possible we have a 60/40 chance (or better) of winning the RRR in my opinion.

lSU now has an offense to go with their D. I believe they will challenge bama this year.

I'm not even sure what Texas being "back" actually means. Back to what? Its not like they were competing for a NC every other year to begin with. I'd say they are about what they usually were in the past right now minus a few years under Mack.

LSU may not have as dominant a defense as in the past, but they have a MUCH improved offense with a decent qb for a change. I think they should be a top 4 team along with bama, clemson, and OU.

The Texas team I watched showed enough even in defeat to concern me....as is usually the case, especially over the last six years.
Yeah totally agree. Considering Texas has outplayed us in the Cotton Bowl in recent years I will be concerned until that trend is firmly back in our favor, such as the early 00's.
