That was an ugly game. I watched it in downtown HSV with the young alumni group. Perhaps 30 or 40 there.
They used a lot of unprintable language during the second half.
"Are you still 17'ing running the ball?" Incestual maternal terms were also employed.

But, what the heck. It's a road win in the SEC, that's all that counts.
It was marred by some inebrieated AU and UA fans who brought their attitude to our venue.
Nothing new there, for those of us who live in AL.

I watched the game with Ice Dawg Alex.
Got some insight on our hockey team, and their challenges.

we dominated them up front....we could SHOULD have scored 20 points.
We get the ball down to the5-yard line and wind up missing ayet another 40-yard FG?!? There's no excuse for that. None. Also, we played the 2nd half like wefigured 10 points was going to be plenty to win that game.Turns out, we were right.

and I'm very glad we won, but it's frustrating. I'll take the win...and hope we can correct some of those things.

in Gainesville, was my last year in college at MSU.
And I am an old fart, yes. Tonight was historical for us.

And it was historical for Coach Dan, his first game against his former employer on their turf.
I love that for him.

but isn't running the ball what you want MSU's offense to do? Every time Mullen has come out and tried passing the ball, it has been incompletions or interceptions. Running is what State does well, and it's what you want to do with a lead. I was flipping back and forth, so was there something specific I missed? Trying to run it on 3rd and 5-10s?
