On campus this wknd. 2nd rated QB in portal. Lebby recruited him out of HS. Dad states they wanted to avoid the whole portal thing every year. This is not about NIL, FSU hired Malzahn and he doesn't fit that offense. Malzahn brought in his former QB Castellanos. If we land him, shouldn't have to worry about transferring.

Not getting Arnold is a PR hit for Lebby but I’m not sure Luke K doesn’t have more upside. He’s a higher ranked prospect in the portal than Arnold, for whatever that’s worth.

He sucked when he did get to play this fall. But the whole. FSU team had quit by then so hard to tell much. I’d love to sign him. Worst case we’d have a decent backup to Shapen. Best case, he lives up to his HS recruiting rankings. But more then anything we need good interior offensive & defensive linemen.

Yup. 6'4. Idk why these coaches go for a 6 footer these days. They are working the portal hard but does anybody think a guy from Northern Illinois or Jacksonville State or the like gonna come in here and perform ?? A guy might get 6 sacks against whoever NI plays but you can bet going against Bama or Texas right tackle is gonna be a whole different story. That shitt ain't gonna fly

You've already said that once, for anyone else reading don't put gas in your tractor unless it is pre 1960
Just curious, when was the last gas tractor made? My dad had an International 424 diesel, 1964 model, and I know there was a gas version of it.

Ford manufactured gas powered tractors until 1982 and a few leftovers were sold as 83 models in case anyone was interested.

So to steer this thread back to the topic, are there any rumors about his visit ? Is he still in Starkvegas ? Why not talk to Malik Murphy ?

Should have just kept van buren, not leaked to the media he was asking too much money, not tried to recruit over him publicly with Arnold. Then addressed the line of scrimmage and defense.
Agreed. I know it’s the coaches job to bring in better players, but it seems like recruiting over your quarterbacks only needs to be done when absolutely needed. I don’t blame MVB one bit. Seems like a rookie mistake from Lebby. Hopefully he learns from it.

There have been far too many “rookie mistakes” from Lebby to keep using that qualifier. They are just regular-*** mistakes at this point.

Who knows what the truth is on MVB. Some say he was leaving regardless. Maybe we don't have $1.5m to spend on one player.
