Can't believe he is such a bad hitter but it must speak to his defensive abilities to hang around the bigs for a few years.

That’s better than I thought to be honest...the .146 and the .135 bracketing the .248 is what I thought was more the norm. Hit his best with the most PAs he had, so maybe he will pull the avg up this year. Does not swing like the power hitter he seemed to be in college.He hit a respectable .248 a year ago.

It's a shame with AJ...he's only 25 and hopefully his career is not over, but you are right he needs a trade desperately and soon. He has no future in the Astro's organization. He has done really well in the AAA league, but not when he's been called up.They don't need a first baseman or a DH in Houston. They need to trade Reed, but not sure how much value they'd get for him.
