Glad to see he is starting to pay attention. He has us playing UAB in the first round with Ole Miss playing New Mexico (St.?). I just want to stay the hell out of that 8-9 seed spot.

I think we were a 5 seed last week. Still way too early to pay too much attention to bracketology.

seeding doesnt matter with him. Unless we play Valley or Jacksonville State in Round 2, we wont be moving on

Editor's note-Rule 18 violation.

At best we will be the number five seed and we are going to have to play a lot better to get anywhere close to that number seed.

The unstated assumption in your posts is that Valley or Jax State would be a 16 seed. To play them in the second round, we need to be an 8/9, which we do professionally under Stans.

my point was that unless we play Armstrong Jr High in the 2nd round, we arent going to make it to the Sweet 16</p>

So we were one possession away from beating the best team in the nation two years ago in the second round yet he CAN'T advance any further?

I did say a good coach could win 30 games this year with our schedule and our weak conference...I also said that anything less than a Sweet 16 this season with the team we had returning would definitely be underachieving...

I did however say after losing to Rider that I thought he should be replaced...admitting in public you didnt work on your zone offense before your first game pretty much shows that you are an idiot as a coach. I also believe that Corky from Life Goes On could be 15-3 with this team just as easily as Stansbury could. Actually, with Corky, I think we would be 16-2. I dont think Corky loses to Rider in the opener.

I am just about done trying to even argue with you. You pretty clearly hate Stansbury much much much more than you like MSU and nothing the man does will change that for you. Thank goodness "fans" like you are in the vast minority. Take heart though, I am sure we will lose a game soon and you will have something to be happy about. Even these Ole Miss fans on here have more respect for Stansbury than you do.

One last thing, I did a stat the other day that said that Andy Kennedy has never beaten a top 25 team. Not sure if it is true though.

what was your post about?

Were you trying dispute something I said? You didnt do it

I'm not sure what Andy Kennedy has to do with my post, but if you will explain it, I'll hang up and listen....

Even though you love to point out Stansbury's record against top teams, you usually fail to point out the records of the coaches that you think are so much better. The numbers might surprise you. It is also funny how you give guys like Trent Johnson, Pelphrey, Brady, etc. passes on having crappy teams because they lose some good players while we continue to win every year even while we lose guys like Hansbrough, Gordon, and Rhodes.
For every one good point you make about Stansbury, you make about 10 assinine points.

Is Rick the greatest coach in the world? Hell no. Is our offense a thing of beauty? Hell no. Do I sometimes get frustrated during games? Hell yes. Does it piss me off to lose to teams like Rider? Hell yes. However, at the end of the day all that matters is wins and losses. If you took any program in the country outside of the traditional powers they would kill to make the NCAA's 7 out of 9 years which is what we are going to do this year. I'm going to enjoy it and you are welcome to just sit back and ***** if you want while we keep winning.

Because I shouldnt have to. Comparing him to the top 4 coaches in the other power conferences would be a joke

"However, at the end of the day all that matters is wins and losses"

depending on who you lost to and who you beat

"I'm going to enjoy it and you are welcome to just sit back and ***** if you want while we keep winning."

Until we beat someone worth a **** in the month of March, it really doesnt matter

So just anybody can make 7 of 9 NCAA tournaments, finish anywhere from 15th to 30th in the nation every other year, be in the top 10% of baskeball programs in DI basketball, and consistently win in a conference that has an average RPI of 3rd in the nation over the last 10 years?

C34 just has to set his expectations higher every year, and say if Stans doesn't do this, then he sucks. If he doesn't reach the Sweet 16, if he doesn't win 30 games w/ this schedule, in this conference. The only reason we have expectations like this is b/c of him, b/c our talent is vastly overrated. 4.6% of all DI basketball teams make the Sweet16, and if failing to do that is underachieving, then that says A LOT about what our program has become.

The SEC is nowhere near the 3rd best conference in basketball the last 10 years- RPI be damned. On the floor results prove that. The last 3 years the conference has been downright garbage- it may be slightly better this year, but strong still isnt a word that can be used. Hell, we went 1-3 in our OOC schedule against the 4 best teams we played
