Lunardi still has us in. Can someone explain the S-curve in this link?

He has us avoiding the play in game, but just barely. A conference tournament upset or two would put us into Dayton.

We need to move up a line on the S-curve. That would be a 10 or 11 seed. We have to beat South Carolina and Arkansas. We probably need to reach the semifinals of the SEC Tournament to make sure. If we are playing on Thursday, which seems very likely, we have to win that game. Right now, we stand to play Auburn in the first round, with Florida waiting. If we beat South Carolina and Arkansas, and the likely results in other games this week happen, we'll probably be the 5 seed - matching us with South Carolina then Alabama. If that is the case, we'd need to win both of those.

..this team is still in the NCAA tournament picture.

I was always under the impression you have to win to make the tournament.

You would think this MSU squad has a win over Duke & Syracuse under their belt.

Who would ever think a single road win against Vanderbilt would have so much power.

Live & learn, I guess.

as well as Vandy and NYC. In 2010, we had no standout wins and a loss to Rider (and a few other bad losses thrown in there). We mess up again this year, we won't be going anywhere in a few weeks.
