Goes for me as well. I am so glad we have a huge presence because I sure as heck hated being one of few. I do not speak for Naz LOL. Just ask DMo...

Yep, was the highlight of your season after PR pasted you the following week.
That transitive property make you feel better about getting shutout? Never understood that, we don’t do moral victories. To each his own.

SMH?
Moral Victory...feel better about what? You beat Cary (Ok..shut us out) ....it got you one more week of football only to be embarrassed by a team we beat....be proud...you weren't shut out.....Naz scored a whopping 7 points...on the way to being beat by 28. THAT transitive property make you feel better, you better spit.

I also recall one of Naz posse claiming PR water down the field in that game on the board here....NAZ don't do moral victories...just moral excuses?

F**k it, just give him the trophy.
See we were having an intelligent conversation and then you gotta go and ruin it. Maybe McCarthy shouldn’t win but to say he doesn’t deserve mention is silly. He’s putting up great stats in a very good conference and against good non cons. The Marist game is the one black eye but Naz was a little short on targets that game.

Fair enough, thought we were just going to go round and round.

I'd put Markett over him in the ESCC alone based on the body of work for the season.

POY is a pretty big deal and not sure he would finish top 5 based on the balance of the season. Top 10 yes, and next year likely top 5, though not sure how many of those skill guys are gone after this season. Strong line play helps too and it seems like Naz is still in reload mode there.

Outside of Markett there are plenty of players across the state with incredible stats and resumes for the season. Bean at BR is incredible and Thorne at NC had incredible stats and unfortunately a porous D which helped end their season early.

I put a lot of weight on how the potential POYs do leadingctheir team deep into the playoffs. I know it should be strictly about the individual player,.. but it is a team sport and winning matters (at least in my book).

Now this is good talk!

But define POY - like MVP or Most Outatanding Perfromance? The “Oh Crap” factor that seemed to come true a lot? Or Old Faithful - you can count on huge numbers every night?

127 of 166, 77%, 2,688 yards, 34 TD’s, 2 INT’s. We are quite content with those numbers.
Is McCarthy the Naz MVP? What about Love? Offense (receiving and running), defense and special team contributions. I'd lean more to Love as Naz' MVP candidate.

I would agree he was a far more important player for Naz this season, no question.
