I would have only been 6 or 7, but i want to say i vaguely remember him with the Cowboys (i was a huge Cowboys fan growing up, for whatever reason the Greenwood channel carried the Cowboys rather than the Aints).

I grew up in Hogchain! Bambi (Alworth) was a household name.
He was best WR in early AFL with the Chargers. signed with the Rebs but got married --they shunned Him the Hogs took Him and He was an all- American. Good for Arkansas tough **** for Rebs. speaking of hot Fox girls-Kayleigh Mcanany is ole Mike Mcanany 's daughter.
I remember reading a story about Alworth where he ran a few plays on a practice field, and claimed that the sidelines weren't measured correctly. Sure enough, they measured them and they were off by a couple of inches.

Wanted to play at Ole Miss, but Johnny Vaught had a policy against married players, and Alworth was married at the time. He eventually went on to play for the University of Arkansas instead.
