MC up 7-0 at the half! Some serious personnel adjustments from last week by MC paying off. Great job Coach Larry!!!!!
Really nice adjustments made from last week. If CC doesn't start to establish the line of scrimmage on both sides Madison will pull the upset
Madison has just dominated up front. Out coached and out played. Madison has showed what adjustments can be made to stop this offense. Really good program win for them. CC pretty much the same song and dance once playoffs start. Good luck to Madison they are going to be a tough out
Gotta give Coach Larry all the credit in the world. How many other head coaches would move their 1st team all District QB to FB/LB and start an untested senior at QB?
I’ve always said that Clarke’s offense is good for a long season but will struggle in the playoffs. But congratulations on the BRD title and 10-0 regular season.

#8 Madison County Mountaineers went to #1 Clarke County and, well honestly, spanked the Eagles 21-0!!
MC made great adjustments to shutout the Eagles. Sure makes the 1.5 hour trip back to MC a lot more fun!!

Well as it turned out, we got our expected Region 2 B upset, but I don't think many people expected it to be in this game!
Clarke needs to can that single wing BS. It's okay if you can get a lead but go down a couple scores and it's over. Same ole same ole
Going from scoring 49 points one week in a win to being shut out the next week while playing the exact same team is unreal. Should haunt that staff for some time.
In the second half of the game last week, MC made some really good changes and outplayed CC (21-7 I think it was). I know the CC coach said in the paper that they “subbed” a lot in the second half but that wasn’t true. They had the starters in until their last possession. Over the last 6 quarters, MC outplayed CC and outcoached them. CC was frustrated and completely out of synch last night—-credit MC for that!
As somebody else said earlier, MC “got some weapons”. Great job by the staff and more especially the players who bought into some pretty significant changes!
Now do it again next Friday in another rematch with an undefeated team!
