Cut you called this back in 2014, right before GW matched up with Salem. For years I’ve debated you but you were right. Is the problem fixable? I don’t know at this point. New athletic director, a new principal every time you blink your eye, the continuation of recycling the garbage they have on the city council and school board, just voted the most miserable city to live in Virginia. Just turned to ****.
Not happy even being in the ballpark of right on this. Sadly, I think I was arguing this well before 2014 and just had no concept of how much worse it could get.
I have commended @ChuckVipperman over the years for what he does for the program and kids and he warrants special thanks again for hanging on with where things are now. Anything can be fixed but, whether it can is a different question than whether it will.
While it may not seem like it to fans there are bigger problems that must be fixed than the GW football program and casino money while a resource is only as good as the people making allocation and spending decisions. The situation is bleak, IMO, absent significant and substantive change from the top all the way down.
