Magoon returns to sdsu

[The_Catfather]

Trilly, Tipton and Branham whiffed on this one. SDSU must've had some donors step up last minute.

[track42]

Is it okay to be a little concerned now?

[Drcats2025]

Oh… it’s about to get nasty in here lmao.

[JimboBBN]

Haven’t felt bad about the portal one time until this one. Sucks

[anon1790746896]

The momentum is very bad now

I was away from my phone this afternoon but it felt weird when all the predictions came in then nothing happened.

[hudson17110]

Ok now this is getting ridiculous.

[permdaddy_rivals45705]

Wish we had the big money guys everyone else seems to have.

Portal season is no fun.

Kid is a player was really looking forward to him in Blue and White.

[crxohio]

Hope in pope shirts ? Pope is toast

[AFKY_Blue_RedsBengals]

Disappointing news for sure. It would have been great to land him.

[BassProCat]

I was excited about adding him. Welp onto the next one.

[CatFanInIlliniLand_rivals116236]

So much for all the internet gurus and crystal balls

[dnorman0301]

Damn … multiple posts so must be legit.

[jessieshorts8]

Not good at all. Need to start adding some good players.

He announced it himself

Aka you have no other hobbies/interests and you live and die by every portal move.

Some odd folks out there.

[Tampa_cat54_rivals112262]

Could this be for any other reason? Like maybe Yaxel and Alvaro look more promising than they did 48 hours ago so that is who we are riding with?

Not sure, seems odd that this was a done deal and then suddenly it wasn't.

[Coach Marrow]

Weird

Do not think, these two are not centers

[crxohio]

I'm here for all us cat fans. Pope gonna have to be an elite coach. And get the best out of who he gets. That's what we gotta pray like hell for.

He didn’t like the nicknames that were being proposed.

They don't play the same position do they?

[Panthur]

Minus 8.5 hours has GOT to be our shortest campus visit yet.

[UK67KU59]

Bummer. Was excited to see him play here. I think this young man just made a mistake.

[fredmanthecatfan]

Mark him off the list and on to the next one (several)

[BigBubDaBiz]

One of my best friends runs the SDSU NIL. They did everything possible to keep him but thought he was likely to leave. Relationships and late funds coming in ended up prevailing here.

Or some that spit their tobacco far, and some that spit theirs narrowly missing your feet and completely missing ours. Ours preferably

Thought our NIL was loaded?

[anon1790746896]

I am not even confident in Alvaro now

[Tampa_cat54_rivals112262]

Well the consensus by many was that if BG and Moreno were both here next year, PLUS Magoon, it would probably have to involve one of those 3 getting solid minutes at the 4 spot.

If we land those other 2 (Yaxel and Alvaro), there are suddenly no minutes to be had at the 4 spot, thus Magoon would need to compete with a returning BG and a McDonalds All-American for minutes at the 5 spot.

Idk, grasping here but I feel like there must be something here beyond SDSU just ponying up.

[anon1790746896]

I mean if we only grab Kam Williams in the end of this week, we are in trouble...

[Cole World]

A small bummer but I don't think it's anything to meltdown over. The staff is doing their due diligence.

[tls]

Agents using UK to get more $?

[westerncat]

It's all about the money these days.

[ukcatz12]

Thought our NIL was loaded?

Everyone keep saying that, but I dont know it seems like there's a lot of evidence that suggests it might not be true.

[crxohio]

Just trying to help yall.

[permdaddy_rivals45705]

Our money situation must be really bad compared to other top teams. Pope's offense should attract players not send them running the other direction.

[TX Wildcat]

Not the biggest BG fan, but I hope this is partially because he has committed behind closed doors to stay at UK. Would suck if we loose out on Magoon and BG enters the portal.

Magoon had several options other than UK and wanted to go though the process. Ultimately he chose to stay home and get paid. Good for him, bad for us. I do respect the decision he made and am glad he did not go to a competitor.

Or pope just does not want to make bidding war
