It’s crazy to me how the two most respected former coaches from one school turned into **** at their next stop. It’s just as bad on the athlete side; at some point these people have to learn that it’s best for you yourself to just stop and go home because you’re wasting peoples time and money because you can not give it up.

Nobody forced SC to hire him. They made that dumb choice all by themselves.

It’s the underperforming employee’s job to get out of the way? Interesting concept.
Well, if you’re doing what you weren’t hired to do then yeah, it’s time to go or we can do this- for every loss in a month, your paycheck gets deducted. Which way ya want to go?

Let me say this- the old school staffs, the ones we grew up with are worth what the schools put out for these pc staffs that we have now. Kirby is a part of that old school list that stopped with Nick’s staff(s).

Doing this in middle of a series. Yikes….

D1 says Schnall will be number 1 target, but did mention Lemonis.

Kendall Rogers says Lemonis is a candidate.
He is saying Lemonis is someone to consider as interim. SCs trouble won’t be salary. It will e convincing someone they can pay enough NIL/rev share. Dawn will get to make that final call

Need I remind anybody TN beat us 27-2 in 2022 and Vandy beat us 27-3 in 2023. Why didn't we fire Lemonis then?

Maybe because we had won a national championship the year before and two years before?

Your know the answer. We sure as hell weren't firing him in the middle of the season less than a year removed from natty.

We good now...moving onward and forward

We got run ruled in Hoover a time or two in 2021, didn't we? I can't believe SC had never been RR'd before Pure Manure got there.

We should have after the 2023 season, but some people wanted to cling on to hope that he could turn it around.

I think it probably all worked out in the long run though. I don't know if O'Connor would have taken the job 2 years earlier.

But no one does that. This is on USCe.

We won 2 National Championships?

Those 2 games with the seasons he put together in those 2 years were more than enough reason to dump him, and yet we still kept him for 2 more seasons after that. He turned what should have been the 4 most productive years in our history after winning a Natty into a total laughing stick ****-show.

I was counting the time between our national championship and the blowout games you mentioned. No school would fire a national championship HC a third of the way thru the following season, which is when that first blowout loss happened.

He probably should have been fired after 2023.

I was just answering the question you posed. It seems obvious to me why he wasn't fired after the blowout losses you mentioned. The guy's record prior to those two terrible seasons was ridiculously good.
