Breaking news out of the MAIS:

Hartfield Academy is now eligible for the MAIS playoffs. Their appeal was granted by the AAC of the MAIS. Also, the two coaches who were banned from games are allowed back on the sidelines.

At the end of the day despite the bluster of the original statement, they literally had no proof of a single rule being broken.

You had a coach with some personal grievances teaming up with a Hartfield rival anxious to eliminate its competition, and not much else.

The public school that actually enforces the residency rule is a rarity. There is a lot of lying out there not only so kids can play sports but for kids just to go to a particular school.

I will say this… in a way st Joe was dumb to go thru all that. They should’ve known being the new kid on the block in the MPSA, nothing was going to happen.
