Major buzz kill Saturday night:

The Psycho D had just ended an Arky drive and their FG kicker missed. Cue up Ozzy doing Ironman during the TV timeout, good call "Mr Music Playing During Critical Times Bud Light DJ Man". Fans ringing bells to the music, singing, raising hell and what next? After about 10 seconds they cut the music and out trots the pom pom squad into the end zone for a thoroughly buzz killing routine. Come on people, I don't care if its scripted to have them shake their POM's right then, don't **** up the atmosphere please. Seemed to me that there were a lot more commercials than past games too.

Had discussion with a friend similar to this. With more and more games on tv it is hard to get a team (defense) gassed. Seems you will get a breather (comercial break) after every series of downs. It's not advantageous as it once was.

The In-Game Experience is horrible and has to change.

People should be fired. I'm serious. It was horrible during the A&M and Auburn games, as well. The fans simply produced a great experience on their own, DESPITE the media enhancements at MSU.

Why do the complaints continue to roll in and nothing is done about it? Nothing has changed.

It shows total ineptitude on the part of the Athletic Department.

We went to LSU this year. It's very simple. Just play music, a combination of very current ballads (less than a year old) and classics. Appeases the blue hair and youth constituencies.

Everything else, STFU.

I'll give them some credit, there have been fewer commercials (still too many, but better) but it seemed like more Saturday, maybe I was just pissed about our play and being more critical. The point I'm talking about though seemed big in getting the crowd into the game, it was obviously working, and they STOP it for a damned pom pom routine, that's just DUMB! The name that tune was ridiculous, couldn't hear any tune so how do you name it?

I agree just play great music and show exciting football videos on the screen

and be done with it. How hard it that.

Major buzzkill for sure. It seems like the in-game atmosphere regressed back to 2011/2012/2013 levels Saturday night. More commercials plus music being played at the wrong times. The Auburn game was absolutely amazing as far as playing the right music at the right times and not killing the buzz of the stadium. I left being amazed at how much we had improved on that this year over the past couple of years. Also, there were a couple of 3rd downs where the undertaker bell wasn't rung before the play. It is baffling that we've done that on every 3rd down all year yet arbitrarily decided on a few plays not to do it this past Saturday night. I don't get it.

Also, did it irk anyone else that we didn't play "All I Do Is Win" after singing the alma mater? It seems like we've played that song after every big win for the past 4 years yet we decided not to Saturday night. Little decisions like that baffle me about our Athletic Department.

When they started play "stop.. drop.. shut em down open up shop" and then abruptly cut it off after a huge defensive stop, our section felt as if we had our hearts ripped out. MORE MUSIC LESS F'N ******** SCOTT

All these recognitions should be done at one time during halftime.

The "name that tune" and the "Kiss cam" need to go. My vote would be to lose the racing Chevron cars and the bulldog shuffle as well. It's a football game. Play music appropriate for the moment in the game, and when you have to, muted ads. And anyone who has a tough time "naming that tune" is a 17ing retard.

All of that crap is terrible. It's not a minor league baseball game where nobody cares, so you're trying to entertain the crowd with BS.

Ya'll are right. The in game atmosphere was beyond bad Saturday night. It took the crowd out of the game and made for a disappointing experience. I wish they would quit recognizing every little group who makes a contribution. We don't need to recognize every single person in the stadium. Keep it simple. Play music, pump up the crowd, win the game. Save all the other ******** for halftime. The way they introduced the '85 baseball team was horrible and disrespectful. I seriously hope they learn from this mistake. Rant over. Glad we won

If the Pom squad can't do their routine to the fire-up-the-crowd music, they shouldn't be out there.

They should have tryouts for in-game experience manager. Interview people (on the pack, of course) to get the field narrowed down to 8 people. Give each person a quarter for our first two games. The best person for each game gets a half of the third game and the winner gets the job. If they 17 up during the season, the runner up takes over.

What are you even talking about.. The A&M and Auburn games were two of the best fan experience, especially as far as the music and timing of it go, that I've ever seen in my entire life. No one wants to hear current ballads... They all suck..

Is there anything more useless than an Anthony Craven Halftime Report (other than the sideline report on the radio broadcast)? Hell, we are at the game we know what happened.

Maybe if he did score updates from other SEC/top 25 games or something.

Yes, it irked me.

The missed undertaker bells irked me also.

As did the lack of execution on the Don't Stop Believin playback.

All the other little miscues I kind of brushed away in the moment but when you compile it all--well it's pretty sad.

Now, couple this with the ineptitude managing The Junction this year and you could paint a picture that might just show why our University/Athletic Department have very few traditions save a cow wandering on the field against UM.

Oh, and remember that time they acquiesced to ESPN putting a slobbering cow in The Junction for gameday?

Listen--we've come a long way. But it's really frustrating to watch us continue to fumble things within our control and not learn from our mistakes.

And if we can't fix them? Overcommunicate why. Our fans will cut a lot of slack if we could just get a sense of the "why" sometimes.

The slobbering cow using Gilbert Gottfrieds voice still amazes me, who thought it was a good idea to give approval for that skit?

I second that.

We're the number one team in the country. The game is my entertainment.

Whoever just gave a half mil to the baseball stadium, trot em out, give them a silver cowbell - BEFORE THE GAME.
That crap feels kind of Sunbelt Cusa-ish at this point. Let's act like it
