MAJORS - Golf vs Tennis

In Golf you have had 12 different winners inthe last 12 majors. Often times people win that are ranked verylow, and then you never really hear from them again. In tennis, if you are not ranked in the top 10 in the world, you literally have no chance to win a major, so you can always count on the best players in the world winning the biggest events.... so. Which situation do you prefer???

</div><div>So, it's not always top-ten players in tennis, but it is certainly more top-heavy. The top-heavy nature of tennis is probably more desirable, but golf just doesn't operate this way. I don't want golf to change, but I'llrecognizethat dominance is interesting.</div>

Since in the last 107 majors in tennis only 4 times has a player not ranked in the top 20 won a major, and I think it has been a while since someone outside the top 10 has won. I prefer to see the best players in the world win the biggest events, but that's just me.. Although I have to admit the Open this weekend was pretty special.
