It's strange that outside of Shierman Cal isn't after anyone else.He was clearly after him hard with several phone call a day until he asked for money.So clearly he thought we needed another piece but now it's nothing.It doesn't make any sense.
Are you familiar with John Vincent Calipari? This is textbook Cal. Dumpster fire.
How do you all know who he is involved and not involved with? There could be several, including Baldwin, who could return to school if they don't get guarantees from NBA teams. How about we wait and see what happens then before we say definitively who UK has and has not been in contact with?

I agree.. It is like we have a bunch of mind readers here. We have no idea who Cal and the staff may be talking with right now. Sometimes it might be best if things were not be made know.
Like someone else said name one recruit from Cal that hasn't been talked about before it happened?
These are unprecedented times with NIL and such so this may be a first.

If we do not lose anyone to injuries, I am good to go with this group. Unfortunately, injuries seem to be a big part of our problems each year. For that reason I think we will add another player or two, not counting Thiero. I can be wrong but a late May, early June announcement is coming, I believe.

Yeah he didn’t pan out. Kid was still a 5 star and I’d bet you were happy when he committed. This crap is what everyone is sick of. You pick one guy out and disregard the dozens of pros and guys who did work out. The glass is half empty guys here ruin it for everyone

That's possible, but we have no idea if he's in on guys or not. We've had a lot of late surprise commits here, both HS recruits and more recently from the portal.

Again it was well know Cal was recruiting him but many thought it was Oregon.
That’s why I always say I don’t know crap I repeat what I see from Tucker pilgrim or graf I have no sources and only a couple people on here do have sources

True.I've never claimed to have sources but we have some for sure who act like they have inside info.No one here does.
Askew was not a five star. He was a high four star and the lowest ranked starting point guard Cal has had here starting from day one.

SGA was recruited to be Quade's backup but ended up being exceptional.
Askew was recruited as a starter, and ended up being horrendous.
I get that but the argument is ridiculous. To point out one player and act like every high recruited player shouldn’t be a bust. It just happens. I know cal needs to adjust some but to keep pointing out things like this is just getting old. Losing to saint peters sucks but the season was one of the best, personally. We’re not in the shape like most people think we are. For morale to be as low as it is around here while we have arguably the title favorite going into next year just shows how much we expect from cal which is almost unrealistic.
This is your standard line whenever someone brings up a question about Cal’s recruiting. Unreal.
Missing on a recruiting projection does often occur, but that's not what happened with Askew.
Thinking Askew was ever starting point guard material, as a freshmen, was the type of recruiting miscalculation that costs assistant coaches their jobs.
This is what actually did happen. Justus and Barbee are gone now, partly as a result of this horrendous recruitment.
