This guy is incredible! No question my favorite player and it isn't close. He's so much fun to watch. Excited to have a stud like him running the team. Go cats

I've been thinking exactly the same thing. Can't remember a UK team I've enjoyed watching more than this one. They are so fun and really genuinely seem to like each other. Also seems they're having as much fun on the floor as I am watching them.

That pass off the backboard to Fox for the dunk was sick!

What I love is from the first game to this one, you can see them progressing exponentially. Usually you see these young teams do the freshman tango: one step forward, two steps back. Haven't seen it with this team yet!

Monk is the best SG Cal has ever had. Since day one I thought he would be our best player and was shocked he was only 2nd team preseason ALL SEC. Monk > Murray all day.

4 games or not. Monk was better than Murray in high school and that will continue into college and into the NBA.

Monk is figuring out to let the game come to him. He is realizing that Fox will get him the ball in good spots.

That dunk he missed off the back of the rim would have been pretty sick also. He is already a stud and I think we will see him continue to improve as he gets rid of a few careless mistakes and continue to learn where his good looks come from in the offense.

This team is tough because there are multiple scoring threats. We have 5 or 6 guys that would not surprise you if they went for 30 on any given night.

Monk may very well be the best SG Cal has had.

He's a freak athlete, and then he's found this amazingly consistent shot.

Earlier I was thinking about him and my fav cat out of this bunch (so far) - Fox. Isn't it impressive the kind of chemistry these two have already, only five games in? I really like the entire team vibe.

Just lovin' all these young men. Fun fun fun!

Monk was the one recruit in the entire class I never was worried about being overrated. When you can shoot the deep ball, but can also jump out of the gym, you're about as close as can't miss as a prospect can get. The scary thought is just how good can this kid become in just his freshman season at Kentucky? He obviously will look like a star in the NBA in the future, but he has a good chance of becoming good enough to be the best player in the final four. The kid will become the guy we will want to see with the ball in his hands when Kentucky is in the final four and we need a basket to win the game and national championship.

Just picture him in five or so years. Remember Wall and Cousins when they were here? Now look at them with the additional muscle mass and experience. He could be at the very elite NBA level of stardom should everything work out.

I know we shouldn't jump the gun, it's only five games in etc. But I'm damn sure glad the kid is on my team.

I wish I was hear to see what everyone was writing after 4 games about Terrence Jones, mainly after he dropped 40. Does anyone remember the threads put up about him around that time?

Let's not put too much expectations on the young man because he will have a few down games when the competition heats up.

Uhhhh....slow down there chief. A long season and we haven't played the best of competition yet.

And Murray, Booker, Lamb, Knight, might have something to say about that...

He has had a good year. I just hope he keeps improving. I think this team is going to be scary by the end of the year.
