Saw Andy Kennedy and Horatio Webster eating lunch today a pigskin BBQ in Ridgeland. Thought it was odd to see them together.

I think they have an open asst coach spot, that they were going to use on the kid from Memphis and his dad and/or coach. So that could be the pitch..

It would sting to lose Malik to om. How important is Malik? Would he be worth hiring horatio?

Do you think Dak could have any influence on him? Sorta "come to State and be a legend" type talk? He could change our program and forever be a legend. Maybe even get a key to Starkville.

Makik is a PURE program changer. Sorry for the reference, but this is Auburn's Cam Newton, kentucky's anthony Davis, Kevin durant, christian Laettner...

He's a player with a beast of a future.

Yes.

Brent is highly regarded in JPS. He would absolutely kill it with recruiting, there. If we had a prayer at getting Malik, this would be our second best chance (behind hiring Horatio).

I heard an interview with David Sanders regarding Newman on the radio the other day. It was on a Lexington station so he naturally spent most of the time talking about Calipari and UK when the topic turned to Newman's recruitment. I do think it bodes well for the other schools on his list that he is waiting until the Spring to sign.

I'd consider hiring Brent as an assistant irrespective of whether we get Malik Newman.

We better not under bid on this one!!! (of course, we all know that is a joke), but theoretically speaking, if lets say just a random ball park figure of.....ummmmm.....20k more, GIVE IT TO THIS THEORETICAL PLAYER!

But in the mean time, I sure hope he winds up in maroon and white.
