May seem extreme, but he clearly does not care one bit about playing for the team. He just wants to make it to draft day and move on. Fine, but let's move on now and put someone in who actually gives a damn. This team is finished either way. I'd rather watch someone who gives everything...

He's our best scorer, benching him won't get us anywhere. And the season is over?!?!!!? We're 18-5 and have the potential for a great run. Look at the landscape this year - thankfully the best teams in college suck right now as well.

I see your point and I guarantee you he would have sat a few games several years ago. But times have changed and kids have changed. Not for the better IMO but I'd guess the younger posters on this board probably don't see too much wrong with what he did. I side with the fans that would sit him until he got his head out of his *** but as I said earlier times have changed.

I'd much rather see Brad. I played high level division 1 sports. I know all to well that a player like that kills a team. Especially when it's your best player. What you saw today only happens when the players don't like each other and become indifferent. He has quit on his team.

Sit him for what?

Head out of his ***?

He is undisciplined on offense at times, doesnt play great defense or rebound, but Cal needs to address those fundamentals.

Laughing on the bench because the rival students are poking fun at you singing happy birthday stuff at the end of a game is not critical for an 18 year old.

"Can you believe these stupid Cat fans said I was one of the best shooters to ever play here?"

The funny thing is I'm not even a little emotional about this. I've experienced first hand how great it can be for a team to rid itself of a cancer, even if he's the most talented player. I've had a bad feeling about monk for a while. Ultra talented, but something was off with his demeanor. I'll bet a good amount most of his teammates don't like him behind closed doors.

It's disgusting and he shouldn't even play next game. I mean that, I'd bench his *** so fast his head would spin.

Anyone who's ever played sports in life knows what this is. When I was losing in baseball or football in middle school, high, or college, Will Farrell in the flesh could not get a grin. I hated it.

He doesn't hate it.

Maybe read the other thread reporting as to why he was laughing. 18 year old kid getting the ribbing from rival student section.

It only has to be life and death with us fans who never achieved or will achieve this kids current and future success.

Probably true. But I don't think anyone really knows why he was laughing. Excuses will start pouring out for it. What I do know, is he's laughing, down 20, after the team is imploding. No one is going to care why, and they're bringing that on themselves.

Have to disagree with you. At least partially. His game is what it is. Cal and the coaches need to work with him on that. That shouldn't get him benched but I don't go along with you on the laughing on the bench and blowing off the handshake line. Like I said, maybe that's okay today but there was a time that would have been frowned upon big time. I have to side with that not being acceptable. Peace.
