Man and daughter on their way to Omaha

were in a car wreck in Tupelo and passed away last night. Brian Ezelle ('89). Daughter was 10. Puts things in perspective. It's just a sport.

Everyone be safe to and from Omaha, please.

Terrible, Strickland tweeted earlier about this and someone replied that they were leaving today for Omaha so I am not sure if they had left or what........

Sad sad. Heard about the wreck but didn't know they were on the way to Omaha. Prayers for the family

The family was coming back from a boys baseball tournament...

And were just getting back into Tupelo when the wreck occurred. The dad was going to be heading to Omaha today to meet friends, from what I heard. Huge State fan and all around great guy.

Dear God please be with this family. Baseball doesn't matter one bit compared to a life. If this doesn't break your heart the you need to search your soul. This should speak volumes to those of us State fans and Rebel fans that have been talking serious trash this week. We are all Mississipians, brothers, who need to realize it is only a game when it comes down to it. I'm as guilty as anyone. My thoughts and prayers are with this MISSISSIPPI family. As terrible as this is, they have the best seat in the house to pull on their Dawgs tomorrow. God speed.
