I read about this yesterday. People inventing new ways to die. Shouldn’t the technician have told him to take it off? This isn’t the first time that it has happened. I see a big lawsuit coming.

obviously I wasn’t present when this happened, but in the two places I’ve had MRIs there are signs ALL OVER saying no metal. Hell the last hospital I went to you weren’t even allowed in the area a tech could see you if you were wearing anything with metal

Just had an MRI done a few weeks ago. Had several done before so knew not to wear a ring, watch, etc. but they still made me put on their set of shorts to make absolute sure the metal on mine did not activate in the machine.

When we learned about MRI in medical physics class, the prof did a demo where he held a rope tied to a heavy wrench while the machine was energized. The wrench and rope stood straight out.
