I haven't read an MSU board in a long time, but I checked out this board and Gene's Page and it seems like everyone has moved over here. I can remember when you guys were the upstart board getting 1/20th the traffic of Gene's Page. Nice job.

I guess he didnt ever think that all the people he banned over the years were the most die hard fans of the program, and he didn't think they could form their own board, and that other boards would pop up and see what they could do better (BDJ)....... I almost feel sorry for him....
someone posted a Happy Birthday Sixpack.....and the Bannation? .....does anyone have a copy of that entire thread from over there.....I would have loved to have seen that....

is the baseball recruiting board. But unless you're hardcore into baseball recruiting, it serves no purpose. And me just typing that on here is like admitting that I pay for porn on the Billy Graham message board.
That said, I have seen Gene just flat out lie about recruits velocity and a guy's 60 yard dash time. I have seen him not know who players were. And don't get me started on Conner Powers. Why not just interview him? Oh, wait- he may say something that the sheep don't want to hear.
I think what Gene fails to realize is that if he just told the truth, people would give him and his board more respect. People want to know about these recruits, and he just flat out lies, it's ridiculous. Of course, I think his main contact with the baseball info was Tommy Raffo, so he has been pretty much cut off. Plus, with Polk knowing exactly who was going to sign and what not, it made things a lot easier.
Now, that said, I love Bulldawgjunction. They do an awesome job, and work hard. I do wish they had more baseball things, but they've done a lot better since I originally complained. And I don't expect a lot of baseball stuff right now with football starting, so I'm OK with how they are doing things.

David was in fact spouting off at practice the other day, about how they are the most PROFITABLE source of MSU news on the web.
and at the end of the day money is all that mattered. I quickly chimed in..saying I would think providing the info to your users is what matters the most and doing a quality job at it.

as far as BDJ coverage of baseball recruiting, Paul does what he can. He almost always breaks the baseball commits due to his contacts being on top of the ball.
As far as driving to florida/georgia/tuscaloosa or anywhere besides starkville to watch recruits..he can't do it with all his other responsibilities and as you know all too well Todd, the market for that info

gp was a pretty good site. Even after the intro of the premium board. Then he became a part of Scout or whatever. He blamed almost every negative on Scout's rules. Then to stay in MSU's good graces he stopped reporting any rumors, stopped being first with any info, cleared every thru MSU before posting. He stopped allowing clips being pasted in and on and on. I left gp and came here, then went on BDJ as soon as they were up. Stopped even looking over there.
