That park is a mecca for baseball, it's also a ********. I couldn't believe how awesome it was and bad at the same time.
Comiskey Park was a a historic site. It’s just a parking lot now.

The new one is just so damn strange and in such a shìtty part of town. They basically give upper deck tickets away for very little, but you have no access to any other part of the ballpark. And all the concessions in the upper areas are closed off indoors.

The lower level is pretty cool. Outside of that, I’m just glad I saw that place and made it out alive. Will never go back.

I was there a couple of weeks ago for two games against the orioles. Originally purchased hoping to see Westy playing for the visitors. I did get to see Marcelo Mayer's debut but also unfortunately, Bregman's injury....

I went to a game there as well, had an upper deck seat and was surprised that you couldn't leave that area of the balk park. Worst park in the MLB by far, and that includes Tropicana.

I don’t know where it popped into my head that this thread was about the White Sox. Hence my post…. Whoops!

I’ve always wanted to go see a game at Fenway. Wish there was a way to avoid the Massholes, tho.

The tour of Fenway is really cool. I highly recommend it. Then dinner at the bar across the street before the game.
Yeah, I went when the seats had been installed above the green monster but before they had the first season with them. That wall looks like a golf ball with all those dings.

Went to see Mitch play a few years ago. I was going to have a long layover in Boston so I just decided to stay until the next day and catch a game. Stayed at a hotel just down the street from Fenway and bought tickets from a scalper walking to the game. I had no knowledge of the stadium layout and didn’t know where my seats were. Ended up being right behind home plate about row 7 sitting amongst future teams scouts. Very interesting game experience.

I went to old Comiskey in the late 80s. Saw Carlton Fisk play and Bobby Thigpen pitch. Really sketchy area. Game went into extras and ended about 11 PM. The walk back to the car was a bit tense.

I went to a bar up at Clark and Foster once. Was in town for business, so it was just me. Really amazing place called the Hopleaf, if you ever want some amazing beer and food. Used to have cigars, and I had one…

Walked back to the red line and was lulled to sleep by the hum of the train, a full belly of food and beer and the smoke of the stogie. Missed my stop and ended up at the Dan Ryan in a train car surrounded by sleeping bums. Cops came in and woke us up and told us to GTFO. So, I just kinda had to wait for the northbound train to show up…. It was interesting, but the Chicago bums didn’t say a word to me or mess with me.

I love Chicago, but the stigma about outside is totally justified. Awful areas everywhere.
