I was in a car somewhere around Oxford Al headed towards Atlanta for Saturday and Sunday games listening on the radio. Work prevented us from leaving early enough to make the Friday night game.

I was there! Thank god the game went into overtime or we all would’ve been out on the street walking to our vehicles in the middle of the tornado. Remember the destruction walking after the game to our car. Multiple windows blown out of the nearby CNN center.

Edited to say we got tickets to the remaining game at Ga. Tech’s colosseum. Their stadium was very average or plain bench seating.

Absolutely. I was in the dome that night. We had family in town staying with us from MS to attend the tourney. We only got to see that one game in person. Then Georgia pulled off a feat almost as unlikely as a tornado hitting the GA dome during the SEC tournament. They beat both UK and MSU on the same day in front of no crowd before such a thing became cool in 2020.

I was there as well and your description was perfect Rick. There was a hole in the roof on the side where the catwalk fell. I told my buddy that went with me to the game, "Thank God the game went into overtime"! I can't imagine what would have happened if it ended in regulation.
