I'd link his article, but the CL doesn't deserve for me to do that.

"This is so overdue and so needed... Everybody talks about the school up north, but this one is equal or even above in my book."

Megan Mullen, on husband Dan's inability to beat Auburn"

If anybody but a reporter said it, I'd say "inability" is a semantics issue.

Why does the CL always have snide, cynical beat writers?

What's wrong with that statement? He has never beaten Auburn - even at Florida.

Look at it in the past tense

Dan Mullen has been unable to beat Auburn . He's not saying Dan "is unable" to beat Auburn.

"Beating an SEC West team other than Ole Miss sure would be huge for the Mullens, the MSU fan base and the Bulldogs’ season."

Stop being so insecure about Marcello. He is a reporter. Not a fan. There's nothing wrong with that statement. So far, Dan has had an inability to beat Auburn. That's true.

It's a semi-legitimate gripe about a reporter that's supposed to be objective.

This is trying too hard to find fault with a reporter. What DS said.

Of course I don't think the problem is that he's biased, it's that he's not a very good writer, so his word choices aren't appropriate. But it's expecting too much to think the Clarion ledger is consistently going to have a good writer assigned to MSU and/or UM. I'm pretty sure most people on here that could write better would not want to do what he's doing for his pay and with the long-term outlook for journalists. He does a good enough job and if you want to nitpick him, you should probably just not read him.

I like Brandon's reporting...fair, unbiased, honest, and up to date. Soooo much better than Veazy.

Marcello just doesn't want Dan to succeed

It's obvious that now we are gonna have to fend our local media as well as the national guys. When Dan gets it done, they will all be believers.
