He should be on the court because he does bring a lot of energy to the court. However, if he has done something deserving of lost playing time, that is on him.

He has played several short spurts today/ First was when the very first platoon change happened. He allowed Ole Miss to get a rebound, IIRC, and he got yanked. Then he was put back in later in the first half, near the end, and helped to get a steal and then went out for someone with better offense.

Something must have happened because there's alot of things that have me head scratching tonight. Personnel wise. And Willie is acting strange. He did not even jump on the overtime jump ball

Seems like the team was not set when the ref made the toss up.

Did you watch that 30 second blip at the end of the first half? Not sure what game you really saw, TBH.

The other members of that "platoon" continued to play plenty.

He had a particularly bad turnover - the kind that screams "my head really isn't in this." Didn't notice he only played a minute.....

Lee Hawkins Willis sub platoon would have been high energy game changer, Cal is holding back the reins as we start the back stretch trot.

I think Hawkins could have really helped defensively tonight. Lee played and promptly gave up a dunk inside and didn't get in position for a couple of rebounds. He evidently was still on Christmas break.

Ha, what? Did you watch the game. Maybe Hawkins and Lee (who btw did play), but ole miss was killing us on screens and getting looks. Willis is a terrible defender..it would have been feast time for his guy

Considering how bad the cats rebounded I would have given him a shot, he is more mobile than Dakari thus would have been a better fit on defense as well.

I would rather lose every tip and get a defensive stop on the first position every time and have the arrow. Especially going into over time.

Lee is not a very good basketball player. Awesome athlete, but his fundamental basketball skills are not there yet. He is a four year player and will be very good in the future.

Yes, even the camera cut to Cal and he was bitching at the ref about it. You can see Cal in a heated discussion with him, then he does a hand gesture like tossing the ball.

I thought it was odd he only got 1 min of playing time. Perhaps he is under the weather or something. Cal knows what he's doing.

Lee should have gotten some of Dakari's minutes. Would have helped on the boards and switching off on shooters on defense. Towns and Johnson were not closing out on shooters on the double screen action for there guards at the top of the key.

Hawkins should have played some as well (5-8 minutes). Ulis was getting abused by their guards and Booker was in foul trouble. Probably could have taken a combination of Lyles and Ulis minutes (late first half and early second) as both were not having good games offensively or defensively.

Neither should have been in at crunch time though.

JMO, Cal's the man..

I bet the other bigs have been doing awesome in practice or something. Nothing against Lee, tonight just wasn't his game (made a couple mistakes), but every player will have games like that. Lee will be fine and have big moments again this season.

Dakari wasn't much better than Lee. He had a wide open dunk off a pass and didn't left a toe off the court to go get it for the jam...Cal took him out right after he saw it...

There has been a few occasions in which Lee has brought energy and looked great in doing so. Still no playing time. One thing I never can figure out with cal. Marcus is a heck of a player
