What a game... Both survived scares in week 1 and fell in week 2. Both need this W since they have at least 3 tough games remaining on the schedule. This is on top of the fact they're already rivals.

To your point about both teams having tough games remaining on the schedule, I would say this game has even more meaning. They’ve typically played in weeks 1 or 2 in previous seasons and a loss didn’t have too much of an effect with conference play both in front of them. Now a loss means either school would have to win 3 of 5 to qualify for the tournament.

Even after 3 games, I don’t really have a read on either team. Watching BR against Hillcrest and Providence, I would say the talent is certainly there on both sides of the ball but they just haven’t clicked, yet. BR turned it over 3 times vs Provi.

My understanding is Marist has a big, physical offensive line but lacks a big play guy on offense. I believe they’ve also played two QBs in all 3 games. Maybe this is the week they go with 1 full time QB and the other plays WR?

Would really like to hear from anyone at the Marist-ND game on how that one played out.

Seems like both teams working through some kinks after their runs last year. I think it was an odd summer/fall camp for each team with transfers, suspensions and QB drama. Safe to say those events have contributed some to each team’s slow start.

The winner will be in solid position and the loser will have their back against the wall for remainder of the season.

I wish I could help you with information on the Marist/ND game but I didn’t see it. I decided on NFHS instead of a trip south on Friday night. NFHS let me down with absolutely no feed from the game.

I find it interesting though that last week Marist was an 11 point dog and this week they are 42 point favorites against last years 8A runner up. I’m glad I don’t gamble.

Will come down to who wins the turnover game and has better special teams. I think Rice has to be favored at home but anything can happen in this game

If Rice thinks they are a passing offense they are in for a long season and will start prep bowl playoffs week 10.

I didn't see last week's game but the interceptions in their side of the field were killers. If they play field position and let their defense control the game they will be fine. If they try to be fancy, look out.

Keep feeding Shaw and let that set up a pass. They don’t have a go to WR like they did last year with Summers or the chemistry he had with Bean, but they do have a runner so use him.

When they get Warren back it will help them. Right now all they have to run away from Jefferson making him irrelevant

I think they definitely need to establish a run game remember Ben has only played i believe 5 games as a Sophomore QB right now the kids under a lot of pressure he knows he had 4 interceptions dropped vs Hillcrest and had 4 vs PC one being a pic 6 if they can move the ball with Shaw and let Ben hit the short passes and build his confidence .......if Marist score early it could get ugly .......
