I was pissed when Ingrham won the Heisman. Best player in the nation? He wasn't even the best running back on his team.

Boobie Dixon would get much more PT if he platooned with Thomas/Sprolls than behind Hunter and Gore in SF.

I was sick to my stomach when they let Chris Ivory go and kept Ingram. He is useless.

I think Dixon could add a lot of value to the Saints.

How were his hands in college? I don't remember him catching a lot of passes, because usually they just handed it off and let him plow over people

He had decent hands if I remember correctly. I agree with Ivory/Ingram. Ivory was such a better power back.

Gotta disagree. Ivory had solid stats but he ran standing straight up and it was usually in garbage minutes.

Ingram has been playing hurt and looks like he's lost a lot of weight/muscle since his days at Bama. I couldn't believe it was him yesterday.

I'm glad we got rid of Ivory while we could get something for him, but I'm 100% for letting Ingram's contract expire and moving on. I truly believe Thomas is the most underrated back in the league. He needs to be getting 15 carries a game... but that's not going to happen while Brees is QB. As long as a back can catch the ball and block he's going to be the primary guy in the Brees/Payton offense.

Something to consider: When the Saints won the SB Thomas was the leading rusher and got most of the carries AND the Saints were using a FB a lot. Boobie would be perfect because he's a 3rd and 1 guy and could lead Thomas or whoever we draft next May. Who knows. I'm ok with having a horrible running game as long as Brees can lead a comeback like that.
