UK doesn't have an opening for a HC, Maryland does. Also, Maryland has UnderArmor money. If anyone should be upset, it would be South Carolina fans.

Who is the coach that many other coaches go visit cause his offense is so inventive ? Maybe Montana state? UK needs to send OC over there to spend sometime with that guy and get some freakin info on running an offense.

I think it's always smart for a coaches next job to be in a separate conference. Richt would be good for Maryland. The only hope we have as UK fans is that stoops brings in a seasoned coordinator to mentor him otherwise yes we will prolong the misery
The sunshine pumpers sure get salty over truth. If nothing is done we will be 4-8 next year. It's a fact and you can think us old guys are negative or Stoopid but it's going to happen. Barnhart and Stoops are a failure. If this University cared they would pay stOOPS his money and send him on his way.
Mitch is not going to write a $15-20M buyout to get rid of Stoops and his staff. Plus then pony up another $20-25M to sign someone like Richt.
Richt went 145-51 at Georgia so he averaged better than 9+ wins per season. If he did that at UK, we'd erect a bronze statue of him in front of CWS. As I heard on the radio this morning Mark Richt is the Tony Dungy of college football.

So because Maryland is talking (or was talking to Richt), that makes Barnhart inept? Good golley .... Most people probably don't realize (if they're younger than me) that Richt was never a head coach until he went to Georgia. He was the offensive coordinator at .... yep, Florida State. He worked out well for Georgia (can't believe they fired him), but he was a position coach with no head coaching experience. Then you have Muschamp at Florida with the same situation. Sometimes they workout; sometimes they don't.

There is no solution except to ride it out with Stoops over the next couple of years and hope he gets his ship in order. At that juncture, after 5 years on the job and without an insane buyout, you evaluate his results. The only problem is Barnhart will be the one doing the evaluation and I have zero confidence in him making the right decisions with regard to UK football.
So basically, we aren't allowed to say anything unless it has a positive spin.

So lets say hypothetically that we did fire CMS and hired Richt.....how many years would you be willing to give Ricgh before wanting to fire him and hire the next greatest fired coach that was looking for a job?
That's a very fair response. It's all in the perception of how you take it. I think classifying people who don't agree with you (in genral, not you specifically) as "sunshine pumpers" or "negative nancies" is an attempt to downgrade them for their opinion (if that makes sense).
It's questionable at best and the point he's attempting to make easily could have been done without using those "terms."

The Georgia folks were upset that he under performed relative to the talent he had every year...same can be said about those who were talking about Les Miles. Both had rosters stacked with in-state players in states that produce lots of talent. What makes anyone think that he do any differently (not under perform) with Kentucky talent?
