Apparently, his asking price went up. Cue those solo cup red pants wearers . . .

Brewster is an a**hole for doing that. No two ways about it. It's not like he couldn't bring in about half a dozen higher ranked wr/ath prospects from the state of Florida alone. They recruit as well as UF. But I do not see FSU doing anything more than what they've done in the past few years. They just can't get it done down the stretch. Markell might as well play in the SEC.

I'm pretty sure pack was considered an ole miss lock. He might have done us a favor

Are you serious? An ******* for doing his job? Florida State is who gives him paychecks now. He wouldn't be doing his job if he backed off of guys only because his former employer wanted them as well.

The guy is a turd. Tweeting stuff about other coaches leaving and then....

jumping ship? We signed five good wr's last year and have another already committed. MSU signed a bunch of wr too so maybe its not such a big deal.

He's good at what he does. I'm not sure why people are mad at him. He would be doing Florida State a disservice for not going after Pack. He wasn't even at State for a calendar year. We can stop acting like we were betrayed.

I agree, I don't begrudge him for leaving. Career decision and he did what he

felt was best for him and his family so that is that. I just had the pleasure of
meeting him one time and talking with him for about 30 minutes and yes I felt like
I was being sold a used car. He is basically full of crap but hey so is most of
this board including me.

In other words, he's good at his job. That's what you want from your top recruiters. I sure wish we could have kept him. We have got to get our assistant coaches salaries more competitive. We're getting killed in retaining good ones.

pack was not considered an ole miss lock by

ole miss people. i'm not even sure we were second with him. FSU leading is what i'd heard all along and i think MSU has/had as good a shot as we do/did. long way to feb 14th but i don't have warm fuzzies about pack to ole miss.

^^Hippy^^ That greedy capitalist Brewster must be stopped. How dare him do his job and not equally distribute the college football wealth.

Don't disagree about Mullen's personality in general but Brewster couldn't

say enough good things about Mullen when I spoke with him. He was
either spewing BS or he really liked Mullen.

Yeah, maybe it's not the money. Maybe the reason people leave to double their salary is because they just hate the ******* they work for and would love to stay for 1/2 the money they could make elsewhere if they just liked their boss. That makes perfect sense. **

FSU doubled his salary for the same job he was doing here?

Where do u see this?

edit to add: looks like brewsters salary is 290,000 at FSU. Also, i found an article from marcello in 2011 that pretty much shows that we dont have a problem paying quality asst coaches aroud 300k salary. Does anyone know what Brewsters salary was while he was here? Since the fan base and coaches both saw direct results from Brewster why didnt we match FSU or at least offer a raise? Now, an asst job at FSU is more prestigious.. But there is more to the equation than just salary..
