when my dad was in high school, Billy Brewer (yes that one) would whip their *** for dropping a pencil on the floor.

He said one day Brewer said "(Insert a name) get behind the stage!" and the student said "But Coach, I didn't even do anything." and Brewer says "Naw, but you're going to eventually."

before I voice an opinion on the situation. However, it is amazing how times have changed regarding corporal punishment and the discipline of students. My son got in trouble at school a while back and I when I called the teacher to tell her to let me know what I needed to do to help her she was shocked and said that the parents at the school normally defend the kid no matter how much evidence says otherwise.

between misbehaving and playing bad basketball. Taking the story for what it implies, that he actually whipped them for running plays incorrectly, then he is a psycho. That's all I can do at this point, though. There could be other circumstances we are unaware of, such as a parent blowing something way out of proportion. However, if he actually just took a belt to a kid because he cut the wrong the way, then that's sick.
