If maroon & white wins, I'll change from Coors Light to Bud Light for as long as they're distributing it.

I don't think the Tigahs share the Purple and Gold with anyone else other than the Vikings.

And I would happily switch as well.

And if it has to do with alcohol they will be on it faster than any other University. I think we can win this thing because there are tons of schools with colors similar to ours.</p>

I tried to google it and I came up with nothing on the Maroon can but I did find where they were trying to release them close to colleges with the same colors and the schools were protesting them saying that it would lead to more drinking in the campuses and cause more trouble. To be honest I would love to have a case of Maroon cans, well 2 cases (One to Keep and the other to Drink infront of friends to make them jealous.) Im gonna have to call some friends in Starkville to see if they have seen any of them anywhere?

I called my friend in Starkville and he said that he had not seen them, So I called Cash Distributing in Tupelo and they said that the Schools in MS had complained so they probably will not come anywhere near us. I dont see what the big damn deal is. If your gonna drink then your gonna drink, dont matter what color the damn cans are!!!! She said the only schools around here are Tennessee and LSU that she knew of.

Anheuser-Busch pulls promotions at some college:

Texas A&M University also received such a letter after sending one of its own. Spokesman Jason Cook said their concern was that people would think the school had licensed the maroon-and-white cans of beer.

The University of Colorado at Boulder objected not only because of concerns about protecting its trademarks but also worries that the effort could jeopardize its relationship with MillerCoors, spokesman Bronson Hilliard said. Coors Brewing Co., half of MillerCoors, is based in nearby Denver.

A dozen schools represented by Licensing Resource Group, including Mississippi State, have either sent letters to the brewer or local distributors asking that the program be ceased in their areas.

Evans, the FTC attorney, said it is difficult to promote drinking on campuses responsibly and this effort is not the way to do it.
"We really wouldn't want them to do this again," she said.

The Federal Trade Commission has discussed the issue with the brewer, both the agency and the St. Louis-based brewer said. Regulators are concerned that cans will be marketed to fans under the legal drinking age of 21, said Janet Evans, a senior attorney at the FTC responsible for alcohol marketing issues.
And the regular cans aren't?

For being represented by Licencing Resource Group, instead of the other outfit that almost everyone else is represented by, and is the reason why its hard to get MSU stuff licensed.

our name in their list of clients with the others that are there. You are exactly right though, this is the reason why you can't find Mississippi State appearl / products along side of most other SEC schools. Check out there client list in the link the link

Yea, that group is a joke. All 11 schools in the SEC are with another group, but who has to be different, yea, LT.

that the ******** that drink and do stupid **** are usually the type of people that don't really need any encouragement to drink. The color of the can isn't going to make them drink more. They're going to do it anyway. And I seriously doubt that maroon and white cans would lead to a rash of underage drinking any more than the game itself does.
