First off, the athletic department and university are doing one hell of a job promoting MSU sports. It's nice to see so many fresh ideas actually implemented since the good ole boy Templeton days.
It's nice to see that the Athletic department had enough foresight to print the game colors on the tickets this year. Hopefully they will advertise that more so that people will get used to looking at their tickets for specific game day events.
With that idea of printing specific game day info on the ticket, it would seem that the university could take it to the next level. Take the GA game for example, the athletic dept stepped it up a bit there by having the East side wear white and the west side wear maroon. I'm assuming that they will coordinate the Maroon/White chant with that.
Now, taking their idea even further, couldn't the athletic dept assign specific sections colors for a checkerboard look or other design? And even further, with a little computer CAD work tied in with the seat assignment computer, wouldn't it be possible to assign specific SEATS a color to wear? With that, you could have the crowd spell out different things for game day. It would be neat to see a sea of white in the Stadium with "GO' spelled out in Maroon on the upper deck of each side and "DAWGS" spelled out on the lower decks.
