AWESOME! I know a BUNCH of stories like that. I'm still remembering all of the departed Dawgs who would have loved it too.

Wow. Hadn't seen this article before, and did not expect that.

I was friends with Ezelle as well. Went with him to the Bon Jovi concert at the Hump around '86/'87 or so. What a great guy. Hard to believe he's gone, but he's yet another Bulldog who had the best seat in the house.

Great Story. MY Dad (RIP 8 years) was like this guy when it came to MSU. He would go to his shop and work while the dogs played football. Mom said something to him once about refusing to sit with us, and he later told me, "Son, I have just gotten to the point I can't take the hurt of watching them lose games. All I can think as the game goes on is - We are going to lose this."

One of the happiest trips we ever made was one Sunday in 85 and someone said, If we left now, we could make it to Starkville in time to catch the baseball game. 10 of us piled into two cars and took in the game. Will Clark played so well that day and Dad had such a good time. We had been to other MSU ball games, both football and baseball over the years. He told me more than once how badly he wanted to stay home and let everyone else go - then how happy he was when we went together.

He would have probably gone outside for all three of the final three this year. Difference is, now we could have recorded the games for him to watch later.

I'm sure he enjoyed watching from his seat in the sky.

Was living in Omaha during the '80s and early part of the '90s. Had season tickets to every CWS game at Rosenblatt during that time. Watched Miami win in '85, Georgia win in '90, LSU wins in '91 & '93. Traveled back for finals in '13. MSU had great teams and got SO close. "21 'cured' my heartache!

Wow. This story described just about every Bulldog fan I know. At least today we have the machine known as a DVR that can lessen the immediate stress of watching live.

Unfortunately I was the one who called

Graham on that Saturday nite. My son and I were set to go with them also. Brian was a helluva guy and we had text earlier that day. I’m sure he was sitting with my dad and grand dad rooting like hell. I think this story applies to every true Dawg! Hail Stare
