Right, as I thought...... you know nothing about them. First, the "two directional KY schools": NKU was scheduled for 4 reasons, and done so 2 years ago: - Multiple GAs at WVU (including one Darris Nichols) were hired by NKU for their first coaching gigs - Huggs was good friends with now-former HC of NKU - Huggs' nephew was on NKU prior to the coaching change - most importantly, the game last season at NKU was a gift to Devin Williams' family, who cannot afford to travel to see him play. EKU: - Scheduled in Fall of 2014, when Jeff Neubauer was still HC. Jeff, a former WVU assistant, was going to have a "homecoming" of sorts with the game this season. He, instead, took the opportunity at Fordham following the 14-15 season - EKU, prior to this year and the coaching change, averaged 21+ wins a season over the last 5 seasons and were/are a RPI top 150 opponent - Stetson and Bethune Cookman were mandated by the Las Vegas Tournament, not scheduled by WVU. And as far as that ******** of "these are the teams coaches want to play"........ well, all you had to do was listen to the Coach's Show last night to know that's not accurate - Kennesaw St was added due to Huggs' friendship with their HC, Al Skinner. This is also why Alabama, LSU, ASU, Louisville, and Indiana played them this season. Coaches help coaches build programs with OOC matchups. - JMU, Richmond, SDSU - NCAA Tournament teams. IMO, so is UL Monroe. All range from top 150 RPI to top 50. And the comment about "real fans"? Real WVU fans show up no matter who the opponent is. But what is it that Marshall is missing out on among all these teams? - non-competitive RPI - non-home contest - HC is not a preferred member of the HC community by Huggs - School has shown an unwillingness to consider WVU personnel for positions - See Ron Everhart in 2014. D'Antoni's dumbass mouth is just the icing on the cake.
