Masoli, since horseshit and rumors are encouraged do you think

there is anything to the rumors going around on some of the other schools boards that Rogers brokered Masoli to the Bears. It seems odd to me that he seems to be having a little trouble shaking off that blow to the head this week. Any connection?

That's just standard concussion procedure these days. We've seemed to have an inordinate amount of concussions this year so far, and with each of them, it usually takes a week's worth of tests before they are willing to clear the player. Even if he shows no ill effects, they won't clear him until late this week.

If Ole Miss drops the next two and has no shot at bowl eligibility do you think Masoli starts the Egg Bowl or will Nutt start playing for the future?

regardless of their record. Nutt's just been holding back all season saving everything for the Egg Bowl because that's all he cares about.

He'd still play to win if that's what you're asking. I've heard that suggestion many times with many situations, saying that if you lose to a certain point, you should quit playing your seniors and use the games as practice for upcoming years. I've yet to see a coach do it though.

The fans wouldn't have it, and he'd be crucified for it.

In theory though, if that's what you were going to do, you'd sit all of your seniors. Did Croom ever do it? I know Mullen didn't sit Dixon last year for the Egg Bowl to get his younger backs more touches in live action since it was a meaningless game for you. I don't remember Orgeron ever sitting any seniors either.

I think even if we lose the next two Masoli will start against you guys. Masoli gives us the best chance to win (we'll need to score a lot to make up for our D), and Nutt will desperately need a win.

The Egg Bowl last year was not a meaningless game for us. We needed to win it to show that Ole Miss was not running away with things in this state. However, we have heard time and time again that the Egg Bowl does not mean much to Ole Miss hence my question.

Personally I don't think it matters who starts the Egg Bowl from anOle Miss perspective becauseneither Stanley or Masoli will be there next season.

spark that lit the fire we see this season and it proved MSU was on the rise and the Bears were in decline. I think it also exposed the fact that the Rebs were a product of their favorable schedule the past two years. Don't get me wrong the Rebs have played some good ball the past few years and have had some very good talent. I just like the direction the two programs seem to be headed right now and I hope we can maintain our momentum.

Reminds me of the State players that were so upset to get a bowl ban in Croom's first year. That really hurt.

account where a guy said he was a friend of Rogers and that Rogers had told him he had paved the way for Masoli to Ole Miss. He seemed to think Rogers was a clebrity andit was cool that he knew him. I then saw a couple of other posts probably about the same twitter deal on the Auburn board. There probably is nothing to it.

But in 08 they were legit. Hopefully that was just a one-time deal with Nutt being able to coach O's players.</p>
