People just are not using any perspective because of the ofer on high end guys. We loved the Thiero signing because it came in the spring on top of a good class. This is a good signing and will not scare anyone away.

He joined like a week ago. The new board sucks because it was easy to see the trolls who created new ******** accounts. Now this jack wagon has a handful of posts to his name and he's listed as a "sophomore" instead of a newbie. Only thing the dude went to school for was a BS in Bitchin and Trollin.
I haven't seen him play but I saw Thiero in HS and when he signed he was trashed on this board. I kept saying that this kid was good but very few believed it. It just goes to show you that this board is a horrible judge of talent.
We could use our own Jasper Johnson as an example of this. Highly ranked. Skilled. Body still at the high school level and not physically mature enough to contribute majorly at this level.

Dude has solid fundamentals, solid court vision, and a high IQ, from what I can tell. Typical player/coach's kid.

I don't see the problem with adding Williams. He's a player. His size is why he's ranked that low. He's got game. He's better than any bench guard we had last season. He knows he's a backup and he's good with it. Yeah I wish we had the starting spot figured out but this helps.
Case in point: Aaron Bradshaw getting bullied constantly his freshman year.
As I recall, Thiero was originally a 3 star and I think he was a 4 star by the time he graduated HS. He was trashed on this board as well. There were a few who saw his potential but they were the clear minority.

I think its because it is very obvious who you are. You are Blueblood96 Cat or any of the other names you've used. You play the same game each time --- when you start a new account, you rope a dope and act like you're supporting what Pope is doing and then shortly after you start going extreme against the coach. I am pretty much checked out on Mark. He hasn’t ever really evaluated well, I don’t think he’s a good developer either. His history just doesn’t suggest he can do any of these things to the level of other guys that are primed for the job. Now that’s just my assessment when I look at his 12 year record. I am going in assuming whatever he does is not going to lead to elite basketball.
We’re going to get commitments. It doesn’t mean much I mean we have to get players lol. I think when people see a commitment they immediately OMG!!! But it’s just a commit. Absolutely not. I had seen Thiero play multiple times in HS. He played against one of my best friend's son. This board was anything but happy. Only a few of us loved the Thiero signing. That is a fact. I remember even talking to my friend about it at the time. I told him that the chat board wasn't happy but that Thiero would be a good one.

Lol, Lowe playes CBB for 2 years prior to transferring and many more as a recruit. Last year wasn't going to be the first sample size. There is a reason we recruited several other PGs before going back to Lowe. And there is another reason it appears we are wanting to move on from him now.
John Wall couldn't have made this team better. They sucked. Lowe wasn't changing that and would have been way worse than Aberdeen.

This. The Cal era programmed our fan base to be obsessed with “stars” and numerical rankings. It’s now the only thing some fans can see when a prospect is mentioned.
I like this pickup, even if only for his fantastic shooting splits. The kid obviously can fill it up. I do have some questions about his athleticism ….looked a bit slow for an SEC point in the clips I saw of him … but that’s a minor quibble.

I’ll be extremely positive for any player that I don’t project to be in our top 10 guys. Any player that comes cheap, as a deep depth option, developmental piece will be encouraged by me.
