Massaponax was not able to play its game with King George due to Covid protocols within Massaponax. I believe instead of making that game up they added Chancellor in King Georges place and then Chancellor was unable to play. It was initially ruled a no contest and then the VHSL got involved and ruled it a forfeit in favor of Massaponax. Messy situation.

Chancellor was supposed to be Ponax first regular season. From what I was told, Ponax reached out to them multiple times to try and reschedule. Chancellor never responded, but when they finally did they said they didn’t want too play.

Maybe one of the KG guys can chime in. Maybe neither team actively pursued a makeup date. I would imagine with Ponax’s first 3 games being canceled due to Covid, it wasn’t practical to try and reschedule all 3.
