Marist? No.
Rita will be good but not #6 good. Their best WR transferred to Montini and they will be breaking in a new QB. I'd put them in top 15, not top 10.

No love for Franny….i know they lost some guys but the defending 5A champs still have some firepower on both sides of the ball.

This is the algorithm some people want to seed our playoffs. Mind you the ratings during the season will be influenced by the starting positions.

The Broncos were transfer portal pioneers. If what you heard is true, Montini is back to being Montini.
Montini already back. Just a very well constructed roster. They hit a rough patch and slummed around in the lower levels for a while, but I would not be one bit surprised if they were back in 6A in a few years.

Aren’t they still slated to be 4A this coming fall? If so they would need to get to the finals this year and then the next two years in 5A to bump to 6A? So maybe in 6a by 2029 if they dominate the next three years?

if they really got some of the transfers I have heard, they really should not be 4a. But petitioning up is dumb so I guess I understand why they would stay 4a.

it is clear that in the new transfer portal era that kids want a chance to play for a title and they dont care whether it’s 4a or 8a.

They should be able to win 4A without much issue, which would put them into 5A. Based on where everyone else is currently projected to align, I’d have them as pretty clear favorites in 5A the next two years which would then place them in 6A. Certainly not a lock, but that scenario would not surprise me one bit. That is an extremely talented team, and I’d only expect them to get better.

I know Montini lost their best WR Harkins who graduated and will play for NIU. He was out all year last year due to injury. My other favorite WR graduated (Castaldo). Then the St Rita WR is transferring to Montini. That's all I know about.

All.... Researching enrollment figures at this early time and finding them tend to be fruitless . They are notorious for being wrong. Having said that I came across (Niche) one showing Montini at 547 (902.55) a small drop of six students.

The wild card in determining postseason class placement this season will be all of the extra teams making the playoffs with the new voted on by-law. That could change schools that are on or near the class bubble but as a rule don't move up or down. I imagine there will be some surprises but a clear picture likely won't form till midseason or later. Ratsy
