Let's look at all the aspects of the trophy.

1) It's mostly wood. It's probably fiberboard covered with a wood veneer. They should have at least gone with something high end.
2) The placard identifying the trophy looks like it was printed at a trophy shop and hot-glued to the wood veneer trophy base.
3) The 'magnolia'... well, that's already been pointed out.

Also, we should lose the wooden base on the egg bowl trophy and go to full wedding-cake.

The only thing I can think of is the idea that they wanted it to look old so it could perhaps be perceived as a long standing rivalry such as the jug, the ax, the egg, etc... But yeah, those look great compared to that thing
