Kasak just wrestled at 70KG, I like the bigger version of Kasak. I'm thinking that 174 will determine who's going where and who RS'sI think it's more likely Duke just redshirts next year and Kasak comes back at 157 while Duke concentrates on freestyle for a year. We'll see, I guess, though. I don't have any inside information, that's just a guess.
Jeff wrestled for Harborcreek, not Prep.Since we were claiming Dave Carr we get to claim Catrabone too. His dad, Jeff, was a PA state champ wrestling for Erie Prep (I don't think it was Cathedral Prep yet) and won an NCAA title for Michigan. Good Lord there have been a bunch of really good kids win NCAA titles for schools not named Penn State.
Winning a world medal in 2027 could determine that . If he does he's sitting in the Trials finals. If not hes gotta qualify and wrestling folkstyle all year probably isn't the best for his freestyle training. After NCAA you don't have much time to get ready for freestyleI think it would depend on whether he wants to be there for 6 years and how much he values the ORS in his Olympic training. Wrestling 165 for PSU in 2028 would mean that he would be at the weight he's aiming for in the OTTs and being at PSU, he wouldn't have to relocate to a RTC to train in freestyle since NLWC is right there, so the ORS wouldn't be as critical as it might be for other guys, especially those who don't have a world class RTC at the school where they are.
If I'm banned for that you guys have become soft as Charmin. Others can have fun but not me got it. Go eat a 3rd lunch
70kg is 154. He seems like he's staying at 157.Kasak just wrestled at 70KG, I like the bigger version of Kasak. I'm thinking that 174 will determine who's going where and who RS's
This seems far more likely than Duke bumping up two weight classes to 174 next season. My guess. Duke redshirts next year. Then moves up to 165 after Messenbrink graduates.
Dang. U r right. Freaking memory.Jeff wrestled for Harborcreek, not Prep.
I coached 2 of his nephews at Harborcreek.
I thought he wrestled at Harborcreek? He was a beast.Since we were claiming Dave Carr we get to claim Catrabone too. His dad, Jeff, was a PA state champ wrestling for Erie Prep (I don't think it was Cathedral Prep yet) and won an NCAA title for Michigan. Sorry for your loss (of sanityCall me crazy, I think Iowa has a shot at tO$U tomorrow.
At the National Duals - tO$U won 27-12
125 - Bouzakis pinned Peterson - will he do it again?
133 - I think Ayala can flip his match with Davino
141 - Mendez with a tech or better
157 - Cannon majored Voinovich - with Cannon out Williams should flip that one.
165 - 174 - 184 - Caliendo, Kennedy, and Ferrari all won OT decisions, those 3 have to win again for Iowa to have any chance.
197 If Endene were healthy and still wrestling he would win here, with that said tO$U flips this one that Endene won.
hwt - tO$U got a forfeit - Brands surely will let Keuter wrestle tomorrow, Keuter has beaten Feldman a couple of times.
Call me crazy but if Endene were still wrestling I may have put down a wager, even without him with Cannon out, I think it's close.
