The first 15 min of the 2nd hour has been all about the book he just completed. He just has to let everyone know how important he thinks he is. Has to pump up that ego.

Yes, but I mute it when he doesn't stick to UK sports, which is a lot today. I don't care about how hard his life has been while writing the book. He just tells the listeners that so they will stroke his ego. He wants everyone to know how important he thinks he is now.

EVERY, and I mean EVERY Matt Jones thread that pops up, you’re among the first to respond with a defense of this guy whether he’s being attacked or not. Damn dude, have some self respect and stop groveling. Unless of course, you’re one of his cronies that work for him. Nonetheless, your fascination with Matt Jones is creepy as hell.
I like the show and although I only started listening a year or so ago, I listen to podcast almost every day. He is limited to an extent with regard to sports knowledge, but so am I on certain topics. He rarely talks politics and usually deters calls when headed that way.
I enjoy it as a KY transplant living here in FL. I don’t get why many dislike him and the show. It’s a great resource as is Cats Illustrated for UK basketball and football info. It’s not perfect but I don’t understand the vitriol for him and the show. He’s been wildly successful maybe that has gone to his head at times but I don’t really see that as a listener.
I would guess the hate is more related to his political leanings. Which he and I couldn’t be more polar opposites politically. However everything I hear from him and the show they seem to go out of their way to say that even if you have different Politics than us, we can all agree our common ground is our love of all things UK.
JMHO of course. You can only talk sports for maybe 20-60 mins a day. The rest of the show needs to be entertaining or no one will listen. I enjoy the food and Xmas movie tourneys and the banter between the guys and callers. I guess I’m a simpleton.

He's important enough to you that you'll listen to a show, that actually spends a large amount of time talking about other things, muting and unmuting trying to hear a small bit of information about UK sports.
If Matt Jones is truly a type of person that needs his ego "stroked" then you going on a public forum talking about him only strokes his ego that much more. Haha irony.

I listen to his show everyday at work and he hardly ever mentions politics. If someone else does he cuts them off quickly as he doesn't want it on the show.
Yeah, it would be. Even for you or you'd be repeating yourself ALOT. Even the most die hard fan can't fill up 10 hrs per week, every single week. Sorry, just cant do it.
People always say this and its MAYBE 5% of the show on occasions. Obviously when it's that time of the year it's more but its rarely ever about politics.
The sooner everyone realizes that Matt Jones doesn't represent common everyday Joe UK fan, the better. It's amazing to me how politics can hide any snake.
Who is this Matt Jones? What is KSR? I have never listened to his show, but I have heard that he has many worshipers, like a religion. In all honesty, I heard only about 10 minutes of his postgame, and he cuts off anyone who has an opinion that is different from his. I think I'll pass.
I just find them to be disrespectful of those who are not of the same party as they are and or political beliefs. And at times that 5% is enough to make me turn it off for that day.
